Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
आचचक्षे अथ सद्भावम् लक्ष्मणस्य महात्मनः ।
भरताय अप्रमेयाय गुहो गहन गोचरः ॥ ॥२-८६-१॥
ācacakṣe atha sadbhāvam lakṣmaṇasya mahātmanaḥ । bharatāya aprameyāya guho gahana gocaraḥ ॥ ॥2-86-1॥
Translation
Thereafter, Guha, who was familiar with the deep forests, began to narrate to Bharata of immeasurable worth, the true devotion/good nature of the high-souled Lakshmana.

इसके पश्चात, वन के भेदों को जानने वाले गुह ने, असीमित महिमा वाले भरत को महात्मा लक्ष्मण के सद्भाव (उत्तम भक्ति/प्रेम) के बारे में बताना आरंभ किया।
English Commentary
Guha starts narrating the events of the night Rama spent there. He focuses on Lakshmana's sadbhāvam—his noble intention, vigilance, and brotherly love. Bharata is described as aprameya (immeasurable/inscrutable), acknowledging the depth of his character which is difficult for ordinary people to fathom. Guha acts as a witness to history here, testifying to Bharata about how Lakshmana served Rama, thereby validating that Rama is well-guarded and loved even in exile.

गुह जानते हैं कि भरत को राम की चिंता है, लेकिन वे लक्ष्मण की भक्ति का उदाहरण देकर भरत को आश्वस्त करना चाहते हैं कि राम सुरक्षित हाथों में हैं। 'सद्भाव' का अर्थ यहाँ लक्ष्मण की सेवा-भावना और त्याग है। भरत के लिए 'अप्रमेयाय' (जिसकी थाह न ली जा सके/अतुलनीय) विशेषण का प्रयोग यह दर्शाता है कि गुह भरत के त्याग का सम्मान लक्ष्मण के त्याग के बराबर ही करते हैं। गुह, जो 'गहन गोचर' (वनवासी) हैं, उन्होंने उस रात लक्ष्मण की जो तपस्या देखी, उसका आँखों देखा हाल सुनाते हैं।
