सा पुण्या ध्वजिनी गङ्गा दाशै: सन्तारिता स्वयम् ।

sā puṇyā dhvajinī gaṅgā dāśaiḥ santāritā svayam |
maitre muhūrtte prayayau prayāgavanamuttamam ॥2-89-20॥
Translation
That holy army, having been ferried across the Ganga by the fishermen themselves, proceeded toward the excellent forest of Prayaga during the Maitra Muhurta.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह पवित्र सेना, जिसे निषादों (दाशों) ने स्वयं गंगा पार कराई थी, मैत्र मुहूर्त में उत्तम प्रयाग वन की ओर चल पड़ी।
English Commentary
The army is described as puṇyā (holy/meritorious) because their mission is driven by Dharma and devotion to Rama, distinguishing them from a typical aggressive military force. The specific mention of Maitre muhūrtte (the moment of the day associated with the deity Mitra) is significant. Mitra is the god of friendship and contracts, making this an auspicious time for Bharata to approach the sages and eventually his brother. This marks the transition from the river crossing to the land march toward the spiritual center of Prayaga.
