उत्तिष्ठत प्रबुध्यध्वं भद्रमस्तु च व: सदा ।
नाव: समनुकर्षध्वं तारयिष्याम वाहिनीम् ।

uttiṣṭhata prabudhyadhvaṃ bhadramastu ca vaḥ sadā |
nāvaḥ samanukarṣadhvaṃ tārayiṣyāma vāhinīm ॥2-89-9॥
Translation
"Arise! Awake! May good betide you always. Drag the boats down; we shall ferry the army across."

"उठो! जागो! तुम्हारा सदा कल्याण हो। नावों को खींचकर ले आओ; हम सेना को पार उतारेंगे।"
English Commentary
Guha’s command echoes the urgency seen in the earlier verses. He combines authority with benevolence, blessing his men (bhadram astu vah) even as he rouses them. The instruction samanukarshadhvam implies hauling or dragging the boats to the water's edge, suggesting they were beached for the night. The use of the plural "we shall ferry" (tarayishyama) signifies solidarity; Guha identifies himself with the labor and the mission of his people.

गुह अपने लोगों को उसी प्रकार जगाते हैं जैसे भरत ने शत्रुघ्न को जगाया था, जो कार्य की तात्कालिकता (urgency) को बनाए रखता है। 'भद्रमस्तु च वः सदा' (तुम्हारा सदा कल्याण हो) यह एक राजा का अपनी प्रजा को दिया गया स्नेहपूर्ण आशीर्वाद है, जिससे कार्य के प्रति उत्साह बढ़ता है। 'नावः समनुकर्षध्वं' का अर्थ है नावों को पानी में उतारना या किनारे पर लाना। 'तारयिष्याम' (हम पार कराएंगे) में सामूहिक प्रयास का भाव है—यह केवल नाविकों का काम नहीं, बल्कि गुह का भी संकल्प है।
