दक्षिणेनैव मार्गेण सव्यदक्षिणमेव वा ।
गजवाजिरथाकीर्णां वाहिनीं वाहिनीपते ।
वाहयस्व महाभाग ततो द्रक्ष्यसि राघवम् ॥२-९२-१३॥
Dakṣiṇenaiva mārgeṇa savyadakṣiṇameva vā । Gajavājirathākīrṇāṃ vāhinīṃ vāhinīpate । Vāhayasva mahābhāga tato drakṣyasi rāghavam ॥2-92-13॥
Translation
O Commander of the army, O illustrious one, lead your army crowded with elephants, horses, and chariots by the southern path, or maneuvering left and right (as the terrain permits); then you shall see Raghava.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सेनापति (वाहिनीपते) महाभाग! तुम हाथियों, घोड़ों और रथों से भरी अपनी सेना को दक्षिणी मार्ग से, अथवा (सुविधानुसार) बाएँ-दाएँ बचाते हुए ले चलो; तब तुम राघव (राम) को देख सकोगे।
English Commentary
The Sage gives tactical marching orders. Recognizing the logistical challenge of moving an army full of elephants and chariots through a forest, he advises taking the southern route. The phrase savyadakṣiṇameva vā suggests maneuvering—either flanking movements or navigating left and right to bypass obstacles in the dense terrain. The address vāhinīpate (Lord of the Army) acknowledges Bharata's role in managing this massive procession. The ultimate promise is drakṣyasi rāghavam—"You will see Rama," the culmination of the journey.

ऋषि यहाँ एक रणनीतिकार (Strategist) की भाँति निर्देश दे रहे हैं। चूँकि भरत के साथ भारी सेना ('गजवाजिरथाकीर्णां') है, इसलिए वन का मार्ग कठिन हो सकता है। 'सव्यदक्षिणमेव वा' का अर्थ है कि मार्ग संकरा होने पर बाएँ-दाएँ (Zigzag) या बाधाओं को बचाते हुए चलना पड़ सकता है। मुख्य दिशा 'दक्षिण' है। ऋषि भरत को 'वाहिनीपते' (सेना के स्वामी) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं, जो उन्हें उनकी जिम्मेदारी की याद दिलाता है कि इतनी बड़ी सेना को वन में अनुशासित रखना उनका कर्तव्य है।
