अथ यानप्रवेकैस्तु कौसल्याप्रमुखा: स्त्रिय: ।
रामदर्शनकांक्षिण्य: प्रययुर्मुदितास्तदा ॥२-९२-३५॥
atha yānapravekaistu kausalyāpramukhā: striya: |
rāmadarśanakāṃkṣiṇy: prayayurmuditāstadā ॥2-92-35॥
Translation
Then, the women led by Kausalya, eager for the sight of Rama, set out in excellent vehicles, feeling joyful.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर, कौशल्या आदि प्रमुख रानियाँ उत्तम वाहनों पर सवार होकर, राम के दर्शन की अभिलाषा से प्रसन्नचित्त होकर चलीं।
English Commentary
This verse marks a significant shift in the emotional atmosphere. Kausalya and the other queens, who were previously consumed by grief, are now described as 'mudita' (joyful). This joy stems entirely from the anticipation of seeing Rama ('Rama-darshana-kankshinyah'). The hope that Bharata's persuasion will succeed and the immediate prospect of a reunion lift their spirits. Traveling in 'yana-pravekaih' (best of vehicles), the queens' journey transforms from a funeral-like procession into a pilgrimage of hope and maternal love.

यह श्लोक भावनात्मक परिवर्तन को दर्शाता है। अब तक शोक में डूबीं माता कौशल्या और अन्य रानियाँ अब 'मुदिता' (प्रसन्न) हैं। उनकी प्रसन्नता का एकमात्र कारण 'रामदर्शनकांक्षिण्य:' (राम के दर्शन की इच्छा) है। वे आशावान हैं कि भरत राम को मना लेंगे और वे उन्हें वापस अयोध्या ले जा सकेंगी। 'यानप्रवेकै:' (श्रेष्ठ वाहनों) का उपयोग रानियों की मर्यादा के अनुरूप है। घोर विषाद के बीच आशा की यह किरण इस सर्ग का एक मार्मिक क्षण है।
