बहुपुष्पफले रम्ये नानाद्विजगणायुते ।
विचित्रशिखरे ह्यस्मिन् रतवानस्मि भामिनि ॥ ॥२-९४-१६॥
Bahupuṣpaphale ramye nānādvijagaṇāyute । Vicitraśikhare hyasmin ratavānasmi bhāmini ॥ ॥2-94-16॥
Translation
O passionate lady, I am indeed delighted with this beautiful mountain, which is rich in many flowers and fruits, filled with flocks of various birds, and possesses wonderful peaks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे भामिनि! अनेक प्रकार के फूलों और फलों से युक्त, विभिन्न पक्षियों के समूहों से भरे हुए और अद्भुत शिखरों वाले इस रमणीय पर्वत पर मेरा मन लग गया है (मैं इसमें आसक्त/प्रसन्न हूँ)।
English Commentary
Rama reiterates his attachment to the place. Using descriptors he has already pointed out (fruits, flowers, birds, peaks), he synthesizes them to declare his final verdict: ratavānasmi—'I am delighted/attached.' This is crucial for Sita’s peace of mind; knowing that her husband is happy relieves her of the guilt of being the cause of his trouble (in her own eyes) or the burden of seeing him suffer. The address bhāmini is an affectionate term often used in romantic contexts, reinforcing the intimacy of the moment.
