वैदेहि रमसे कच्चिच्चित्रकूटे मया सह ।
पश्यन्ती विविधान् भावान् मनोवाक्कायसंयतान् ॥ ॥२-९४-१८॥
Vaidehi ramase kacciccitrakūṭe mayā saha । Paśyantī vividhān bhāvān manovākkāyasaṃyatān ॥ ॥2-94-18॥
Translation
O Vaidehi, do you rejoice living with me on Chitrakuta, seeing the various beings [sages] who are restrained in mind, speech, and body?

हे वैदेही! क्या तुम मेरे साथ चित्रकूट में रहकर और मन, वाणी तथा शरीर से संयमित रहने वाले विभिन्न तपस्वियों (भावों) को देखकर प्रसन्न हो?
English Commentary
Rama seeks confirmation of Sita's happiness. The phrase manovākkāyasaṃyatān (restrained in mind, speech, and body) likely refers to the ascetics living on the mountain. Rama suggests that observing these holy beings is a source of joy in itself. He is essentially asking if the spiritual wealth of Chitrakuta—the company of self-controlled sages and nature—compensates for the material wealth left in Ayodhya. It highlights the shift in their lifestyle from consumption (bhoga) to restraint and contemplation (yoga).

राम सीता से उनकी भावनाओं की पुष्टि करना चाहते हैं। यहाँ 'भावान्' शब्द का संदर्भ संभवतः उन ऋषियों और तपस्वियों से है जो चित्रकूट में निवास करते हैं और जिनका जीवन संयमित ('मनोवाक्कायसंयतान्') है। ऐसे पवित्र आत्माओं का दर्शन सत्संग के समान है। राम यह जानना चाहते हैं कि क्या सीता राजमहल के ऐश्वर्य को छोड़कर, इस तपस्वी जीवन शैली और आध्यात्मिक वातावरण में उनके साथ सुख का अनुभव कर रही हैं? यह पति-पत्नी के बीच संवाद और आपसी समझ को दर्शाता है।
