विधूतकलुषै: सिद्धैस्तपोदमशमान्वितै: ।
नित्यविक्षोभितजलां विगाहस्व मया सह ॥२-९५-१३॥
vidhūtakaluṣaiḥ siddhaistapodamaśamānvitaiḥ । nityavikṣobhitajalāṃ vigāhasva mayā saha ॥2-95-13॥
Translation
Bathe with me in this river, whose waters are constantly stirred by Siddhas who are free from sins and endowed with austerity, self-control, and tranquility.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिनके पाप धुल चुके हैं, ऐसे तप, दम और शम से युक्त सिद्ध पुरुषों द्वारा नित्य विलोड़ित (आलोडित) जल वाली इस नदी में तुम मेरे साथ स्नान करो।
English Commentary
Rama invites Sita to bathe in the Mandakini, emphasizing the river's sanctity. He describes the water as being constantly "stirred" or used by Siddhas—beings who have washed away their impurities (vidhūtakaluṣaiḥ) and possess self-control and tranquility. By bathing where such holy beings bathe, Rama suggests they will partake in that holiness. It transforms a daily activity into a ritualistic act of purification, elevating their forest life from mere survival to a spiritual pilgrimage.

राम सीता को मन्दाकिनी में स्नान (अवगाहन) के लिए आमंत्रित कर रहे हैं। वे नदी की विशेषता बताते हैं कि इसका जल साधारण नहीं है, बल्कि 'सिद्धों' के स्पर्श से पवित्र है। 'विधूतकलुषै:' (पाप रहित), 'तपोदमशमान्वितै:' (तपस्या, इंद्रिय निग्रह और मन की शांति से युक्त)—ये विशेषण सिद्धों की आध्यात्मिक उच्चता को बताते हैं। ऐसे महापुरुषों द्वारा उपयोग किए जाने वाले जल में स्नान करना केवल शारीरिक शुद्धि नहीं, बल्कि आध्यात्मिक तीर्थ है। राम चाहते हैं कि सीता इस पवित्रता का अनुभव करें और स्वयं को धन्य मानें।
