गच्छन्नेव महाबाहुर्द्युतिमान् भरतस्तदा।
शत्रुघ्नं चाब्रवीद्धृष्टस्तानमात्यांश्च सर्वश: ॥ ॥२-९९-८॥
Gacchanneva mahābāhurdyutimān Bharatastadā. Śatrughnaṃ cābravīddhṛṣṭastānamātyāṃśca sarvaśaḥ. ॥2-99-8॥
Translation
While still walking, the mighty-armed and radiant Bharata spoke joyfully to Shatrughna and all the ministers.

तब चलते हुए ही महाबाहु और कान्तिमान भरत ने हर्षित होकर शत्रुघ्न और उन सभी मंत्रियों से कहा।
English Commentary
This verse captures the surge of adrenaline and hope in Bharata. The descriptor dyutimān (radiant/resplendent) suggests that the mere anticipation of seeing Rama has dispelled the cloud of gloom that hung over him, restoring his glow. Significantly, the text says gacchanneva (while moving indeed)—he does not stop to talk; his eagerness is too great to allow for a pause. He addresses Shatrughna and the ministers with hṛṣṭa (joy/delight). The signs of habitation have confirmed that his arduous journey is about to bear fruit. This moment marks the transition from the anxiety of the search to the impending emotional climax of the reunion.
