मन्ये प्राप्ता: स्म तं देशं भरद्वाजो यमब्रवीत्।
नातिदूरे हि मन्येऽहं नदीं मन्दाकिनीमित: ॥ ॥२-९९-९॥
Manye prāptāḥ sma taṃ deśaṃ Bharadvājo yamabravīt. Nātidūre hi manye'haṃ nadīṃ Mandākinīmitaḥ. ॥2-99-9॥
Translation
"I believe we have reached the region that Bharadwaja spoke of. I think the river Mandakini is not far from here."

मैं मानता हूँ कि हम उस स्थान पर आ पहुँचे हैं जिसके विषय में महर्षि भरद्वाज ने बताया था। मुझे लगता है कि मन्दाकिनी नदी यहाँ से अधिक दूर नहीं है।
English Commentary
Bharata validates his observations against the instructions given by Sage Bharadwaja back in Prayagraj. This verse shows Bharata's reliance on the Guru's guidance and his observance of the geography. The phrase nātidūre (not very far) regarding the Mandakini river suggests that he can perhaps hear the river or sense the moisture and vegetation associated with it. It serves as a narrative anchor, confirming to the reader and the entourage that the destination is imminent. The repetition of manye (I think/believe) emphasizes his growing conviction derived from the physical evidence around him matching the sage's description.

भरत यहाँ महर्षि भरद्वाज के निर्देशों का स्मरण कर रहे हैं। प्रयाग में भरद्वाज मुनि ने ही चित्रकूट का मार्ग और स्थान का विवरण दिया था। भरत की स्मरण शक्ति और दिशा-बोध यहाँ स्पष्ट होता है। "मन्ये" (मैं मानता हूँ) का प्रयोग दो बार हुआ है, जो उनके दृढ़ विश्वास को दर्शाता है। आस-पास के वातावरण, प्राकृतिक चिह्नों और आश्रम के संकेतों को देखकर वे आश्वस्त हैं कि वे सही स्थान पर हैं। मन्दाकिनी नदी चित्रकूट का एक अभिन्न अंग है और श्रीराम का आश्रम इसके निकट ही स्थित था। भरत का यह कथन उनके साथियों को भी आश्वस्त करता है कि यात्रा का अंतिम पड़ाव आ गया है।
