रामः तु पुनः आलक्ष्य नागरस्य जनस्य च ।
तत्र आगमनम् एकाग्रो दण्डकान् प्रविवेश ह ॥१-१-४०॥
Rāmaḥ tu punaḥ ālakṣya nāgarasya janasya ca |
tatra āgamanaṃ ekāgro daṇḍakān praviveśa ha ॥1-1-40॥
Translation
Rama, noticing the people of the city, took the path to reach there.

राम ने फिर नगर के जनों को देख कर वहाँ पहुंचने का मार्ग अपनाया।
English Commentary
In this verse, Rama's approach towards the city is described. Upon noticing the people of the city, he decided to proceed in that direction. This distinctly shows that Rama's vision is always directed towards his people. He remains devoted and responsible towards his subjects. His arrival was a significant moment, which evoked hope among the townsfolk for their king's return. Here, Rama's character is clearly established, as he remains vigilant towards his duties towards his subjects, and his guidance and love are an integral part of his identity.
