Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स च सर्वान् समानीय वानरान् वानरर्षभः ।
दिशः प्रस्थापयामास दिदृक्षुः जनक आत्मजाम् ॥१-१-७१॥
sa ca sarvān samānīya vānarān vānararṣabhaḥ |
diśaḥ prasthāpayāmāsa didṛkṣuḥ janaka ātmajām ॥1-1-71॥
Translation
And that best among the Vānaras (Hanumān), having gathered all the Vānaras, dispatched them to all directions, desiring to see the daughter of Janaka (Sītā).

और उन वानरों में श्रेष्ठ (श्री हनुमान जी) ने उन सभी वानरों को एकत्र करके, जनक की पुत्री (सीता जी) को देखने की इच्छा से, (उनको) सब दिशाओं में भेज दिया।
English Commentary
This verse is part of the condensed Rāmāyaṇa narrative recounted by Sage Nārada to Sage Vālmīki in the first Sarga of the Bālakāṇḍa of the Vālmīki Rāmāyaṇa. The specific context is established after the abduction of Sītā and when Sugrīva, the King of Vānaras, has entrusted the mission of her search to his foremost minister, Śrī Hanumān. The term vānararṣabhaḥ (best among Vānaras) refers respectfully to Śrī Hanumān. Recognizing the gravity of the task, Śrī Hanumān efficiently assembled all the Vānaras and immediately dispatched them to various directions with the strong resolve to locate Janaka's daughter, Sītā. This verse highlights Śrī Hanumān's leadership, organizational prowess, and profound devotion to Mātā Sītā, as he initiates the search without delay. Although part of a brief summary, it faithfully conveys the spirit of urgency and the essential role of Śrī Hanumān in the monumental task of finding the revered consort of Lord Rāma.
