ताम् उवाच ततः रामः परुषम् जन संसदि ।
अमृष्यमाणा सा सीता विवेश ज्वलनम् सती ॥१-१-८२॥
tām uvāca tataḥ rāmaḥ paruṣam jana saṁsadi |
amṛṣyamāṇā sā sītā viveśa jvalanam satī ॥1-1-82॥
Translation
Then Rama spoke harsh words in the gathering of people. Sita, not able to withstand it, entered into the fire, being virtuous.

तब राम ने उसपर कठोर शब्द कहे, जो जनसमुदाय में थे। सीता उसपर क्रोधित होकर अग्नि में प्रवेश कर गई।
