न च अग्निजम् भयम् किन्चित् न अप्सु मज्जन्ति जन्तवः ।
न वातजम् भयम् किन्चित् न अपि ज्वर कृतम् तथा ॥१-१-९२॥
na ca agnijam bhayam kiñcit na apsu majjanti jantavaḥ |
na vātajam bhayam kiñcit na api jvara kṛtam tathā ॥1-1-92॥
Translation
There will be no fear whatsoever arising from fire, nor will living beings drown in water. There will be no fear arising from wind, nor any affliction caused by fever.

न तो अग्नि से उत्पन्न कोई भय होगा, और न ही प्राणी जल में डूबेंगे। न वायु से उत्पन्न कोई भय होगा, और न ही ज्वर (बुखार) से उत्पन्न कोई कष्ट होगा।
English Commentary
Absence of Natural Calamities in Rama-Rajya
This shloka is also a continuation of Devarsi Narada's description of the characteristics of Rama-Rajya to Maharshi Valmiki in the first Sarga of Bala Kanda during the 'Samkshepa Ramayana'. This verse highlights the supreme excellence of Lord Rama's reign by describing the absence of natural calamities and diseases. Devarsi Narada explains that the citizens in Rama-Rajya will not face any fear arising from natural disasters.
Specifically, there will be no fear caused by fire (such as forest fires or accidental conflagrations), nor will living beings drown in water. Furthermore, there will be no danger caused by powerful winds, storms, or excessive atmospheric disturbances. Additionally, the citizens will not suffer from afflictions caused by fever (Jvara) or other ailments. This description shows that Rama's rule was not merely limited to justice and prosperity but also had a positive influence on nature itself. This state of affairs is attributed to the adherence to Dharma, where the virtuous influence of the king establishes balance and well-being throughout creation, allowing the populace to live happily, free from sorrow, disease, and fear.
