अदृष्ट रूपाः ताः तेन काम्य रूपा वने स्त्रियः ।
हार्दात् तस्य मतिः जाता अख्यातुम् पितरम् स्वकम् ॥१-१०-१३॥
adr̥ṣṭa rūpāḥ tāḥ tena kāmya rūpā vane striyaḥ |
hārdāt tasya matiḥ jātā ākhyātum pitaram svakam ॥1-10-13॥
Translation
Seeing those desirable-looking women, whose forms were never before seen by him in that forest, his mind became inclined (or, a desire arose in him) out of fondness (or curiosity/natural affection) to tell them about his own father.

This verse beautifully captures the innocent and natural reaction of the sage's son, Rishyasringa Ji, upon encountering the women from the city for the very first time. Since birth, Rishyasringa Ji had lived exclusively in the hermitage of his father, Vibhandaka R̥ṣi, and had never before seen a woman or any form of external, worldly beauty.
The women's desirable (kāmya) appearance and their engaging words were a completely novel experience for the sage's son. Due to 'hārdāt' (from the heart—signifying natural affection, simplicity, or deep curiosity), the desire arose in his mind to share details about his father (Maharṣi Vibhandaka) and his own life with them. This 'hārdāt' is not described as worldly lust or attraction, but the simple-hearted, innocent reaction of an ascetic who readily feels a natural affinity toward unfamiliar beings. This action highlights the naivety and simplicity of the sage's son, which the women intended to exploit to fulfill their mission.

यह श्लोक ऋषिपुत्र ऋष्यशृंग जी की सहज, निर्दोष प्रतिक्रिया को दर्शाता है जब वे पहली बार नगर की स्त्रियों के सम्पर्क में आते हैं। ऋष्यशृंग जी ने अपना सम्पूर्ण जीवन अपने पिता विभण्डक ऋषि के आश्रम में ही व्यतीत किया था और उन्होंने पहले कभी भी किसी स्त्री को नहीं देखा था।
उन स्त्रियों का मनोहारी (काम्य) रूप और उनकी आकर्षण भरी वाणी ऋषिपुत्र के लिए पूर्णतः नवीन अनुभव थे। उनके मन में 'हार्दात्' (स्नेह, जिज्ञासा या हृदय की सहजता) के कारण यह विचार उत्पन्न हुआ कि उन्हें अपने पिता (महर्षि विभण्डक) और अपने जीवन के बारे में बताना चाहिए। यह 'हार्द' लौकिक प्रेम या आकर्षण से उत्पन्न नहीं है, बल्कि एक भोले और तपस्वी हृदय की सहजता है जो अपरिचित व्यक्तियों के प्रति सरलता से आत्मीयता महसूस करता है। यहाँ ऋषिपुत्र की अज्ञानता और सरलता स्पष्ट होती है, जिसका लाभ उठाने के लिए वे स्त्रियाँ वन में आई थीं।
