Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रोमपादम् उवाच इदम् सह अमात्यः पुरोहितः ।
उपायो निरपायो अयम् अस्माभिः अभिचिन्तितः ॥१-१०-२॥
romapādam uvāca idam saha amātyaḥ purohitaḥ |
upāyo nirapāyo ayam asmābhiḥ abhi-cintitaḥ ॥1-10-2॥
Translation
Romapada said, 'This (method) is devoid of danger, we have all thought of it.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
रोमपाद ने कहा, 'यह (उपाय) निरापद है, इसके लिए हम सबने विचार किया है।'
English Commentary
In this verse, Romapada conveys to his ministers and the purohitas that the method they have proposed is undoubtedly safe. This suggestion has been thoroughly deliberated by all involved, indicating that the strategy devised for any task is not only effective but also has been meticulously examined for every aspect. It shows that the king has complete trust in his ministers and acknowledges the importance of collective deliberation. This longstanding tradition emphasizes that kings and their serious advisors collaborate to make major decisions.

इस श्लोक में रोमपाद अपने मंत्रियों और पुरोहित से कहते हैं कि जो उपाय उनके सामने है, वह सुनिश्चित रूप से सुरक्षित है। यह सुझाव सभी के द्वारा बडी ही सावधानी से विचारित किया गया है। यहां पर रोमपाद ने अपने विचार के द्वारा यह स्पष्ट करने का प्रयास किया है कि किसी भी कार्य को करने के लिए जो रणनीति बनायी गई है, वह न केवल प्रभावी होगी, अपितु इसके प्रत्येक पहलु की पुख्ता जांच भी की गई है। यह दर्शाता है कि राजा को अपने मंत्रियों पर पूरा भरोसा है और वह सामूहिक विचार करने की महत्ता को भी मानते हैं। सदियों से चली आ रही यह परंपरा है कि राजा और उसके सीरियस सलाहकार मिलकर ही बड़े निर्णय लेते हैं।
