Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ततः ताः तम् समालिंग्य सर्वा हर्ष समन्विताः ।
मोदकान् प्रददुः तस्मै भक्ष्याम् च विविधान् शुभान् ॥१-१०-२०॥
tataḥ tāḥ tam samāliṅgya sarvā harṣa samanvitāḥ । modakān pradaduḥ tasmai bhakṣyām ca vividhān śubhān ॥1-10-20॥
Translation
Then, all those maidens, filled with joy, embraced him (Ṛśyaśṛṅga) and offered him Modakas (sweetballs) and various other auspicious edibles.

फिर, उन सभी कन्यों ने, खुशी से भरी हुई, ऋष्यश्रृंग को गले लगाया और उन्हें मोदक और विभिन्न शुभ खाद्य पदार्थ दिए।
English Commentary
This verse describes the pivotal moment where the maidens escalate their enticement. They embrace Ṛśyaśṛṅga, expressing their joy and delight, and offer him sweetmeats like Modakas, introducing him to a delicacy he is unfamiliar with, as his experience has mostly revolved around forest roots and fruits. This scene showcases their attraction to Ṛśyaśṛṅga and the special arrangements they are making for him. It illustrates their innocence and their extraordinary efforts which leave Ṛśyaśṛṅga completely confounded.
