अन्तःपुरम् प्रवेश्य अस्मै कन्याम् दत्त्वा यथाविधि ।
शांताम् शान्तेन मनसा राजा हर्षम् अवाप सः ॥१-१०-३२॥
antaḥpuram praveśya asmai kanyām dattvā yathāvidhi |
śāntām śānten manasā rājā harṣam avāpa saḥ ॥1-10-32॥
Translation
Entering the inner apartment and giving the maiden according to the proper procedure, the king, with a peaceful mind, attained joy.

अंतःपुर में प्रवेश करके उसने कन्या को विधि अनुसार दिया। राजा ने शांत मन से हर्ष पाया।
English Commentary
This verse illustrates how King Dasharath entered the inner palace and dedicated the maiden according to proper procedure, filling his heart with satisfaction and peace. It emphasizes the importance of following the right procedures, while also depicting the king's tranquility, reflecting the depth and seriousness of his decision. Despite the need for arrangements, the king maintained an inner calmness, which contributes to genuine happiness. The verse conveys that the king's joy was not only outward but also stemmed from within. Therefore, it communicates that inner peace is crucial in performing rightful actions.

यह श्लोक दर्शाता है कि राजा दशरथ ने विधिपूर्वक कन्या को समर्पित किया, जिससे उनका मन संतोष और शांति से भर गया। यहां यह स्पष्ट किया गया है कि राजा का मन शांत था, जो उनके निर्णय की गहराई और गंभीरता को दर्शाता है। यद्यपि किसी भी प्रकार की व्यवस्था और प्रक्रिया का पालन करना महत्वपूर्ण है, परंतु राजा का मन सोने की वहागावों के साथ शांति बना रहा। यह शान्ति व्यक्ति के आनंद में भी योगदान करती है। इस श्लोक में यह भी बताया गया है कि राजा का हर्ष केवल बाह्य रूप से ही नहीं, बल्कि अंदर से भी निकलता है। इससे यह संदेश मिलता है कि सही कार्यों में मन की शांति का होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है।
