दाक्षिणात्यान् नरेन्द्राम् च समस्तान् आनयस्व ह ।
सन्ति स्निग्धाः च ये च अन्ये राजानः पृथिवी तले ॥१-१३-२८॥
dākṣiṇātyān narendrām ca samastān ānayasva ha |
santi snigdhāḥ ca ye ca anye rājānaḥ pṛthivī tale ॥1-13-28॥
Translation
"Bring all the Kings of the South. And bring whatever other kings on the surface of the earth are affectionate towards us."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"समस्त दक्षिण देशीय राजाओं को भी ले आओ। इनके अतिरिक्त पृथ्वी तल पर जो भी अन्य स्नेही (मित्र) राजा हों, उन्हें भी (बुलाओ)।"
English Commentary
By including the Dakshinatyan (Kings of the South), Vasishtha completes the geopolitical circuit of the invitation. The phrase santi snigdhah ca ye ca anye (and any others who are affectionate) acts as a catch-all clause to ensure no ally is inadvertently omitted. It emphasizes that the criterion for invitation is not just power or location, but friendship and loyalty to Ayodhya.

'दाक्षिणात्यान्' (दक्षिण के राजाओं) का उल्लेख करके वसिष्ठ जी ने चारों दिशाओं का चक्र पूरा कर दिया। 'ये च अन्ये' (जो भी अन्य) वाक्यांश यह सुनिश्चित करता है कि यदि कोई नाम छूट गया हो, तो भी यदि वे मित्र ('स्निग्धाः') हैं, तो उन्हें आमंत्रित किया जाना चाहिए। यह एक 'ओपन एंडेड' (Open-ended) निमंत्रण है जो दशरथ के मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंधों की व्यापकता को दर्शाता है।
