Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
ते च कर्मान्तिकाः सर्वे वसिष्ठाय च महर्षये ।
सर्वम् निवेदयन्ति स्म यज्ञे यत् उपकल्पितम् ॥ ॥१-१३-३२॥
Te ca karmāntikāḥ sarve Vasiṣṭhāya ca maharṣaye । Sarvam nivedayanti sma yajñe yat upakalpitam ॥ ॥1-13-32॥
Translation
All the workers and supervisors involved in the preparations approached the great sage Vasistha and reported everything that had been arranged and prepared for the sacrifice.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यज्ञ कार्य में लगे हुए सभी कारीगरों और सेवकों ने महर्षि वसिष्ठ के पास जाकर यज्ञ के लिए जो भी सामग्री और व्यवस्था तैयार की गई थी, वह सब निवेदित की (सूचित किया)।
English Commentary
This verse depicts the culmination of the preparatory phase. The term karmantikah refers to the supervisors or artisans concluding their tasks. Their reporting to Vasistha highlights his role not just as a spiritual guide but as the Project Director of the Ashwamedha Yajna. It emphasizes a system of accountability where the completion of logistical arrangements was verified by the highest authority before the commencement of the actual ritual.

यह श्लोक यज्ञ की विशाल व्यवस्थापन प्रक्रिया (Management) को दर्शाता है। वसिष्ठ केवल एक पुरोहित नहीं, बल्कि इस महायज्ञ के मुख्य निर्देशक थे। 'कर्मान्तिकाः' वे लोग थे जो यज्ञशाला के निर्माण और सामग्री जुटाने में लगे थे। उनका वसिष्ठ को रिपोर्ट करना यह सिद्ध करता है कि दशरथ के राज्य में कार्य की पूर्णता (completion) की पुष्टि उच्च अधिकारियों द्वारा की जाती थी ताकि अंतिम समय में कोई त्रुटि न रह जाए।
