वैनतेयम् समारूह्य भास्कर तोयदम् यथा ।
तप्त हाटक केयूरो वन्द्यमानः सुरोत्तमैः ॥ ॥१-१५-१७॥
Vainateyam samārūhya bhāskara toyadam yathā |
Tapta hāṭaka keyūro vandyamānaḥ surottamaiḥ ॥1-15-17॥
Translation
Riding on Vainateya (Garuda), appearing like the Sun on a cloud, wearing armlets of refined gold, and being worshipped by the best of the Devas.

वे विनता-पुत्र गरुड़ पर सवार थे, जैसे सूर्य बादलों पर सवार हो। उन्होंने तपाए हुए सोने के बाजूबंद पहने थे और श्रेष्ठ देवता उनकी वंदना कर रहे थे।
English Commentary
A striking visual simile is used here: Vishnu riding his eagle-mount Garuda (Vainateya) is compared to the brilliant Sun (Bhāskara) resting atop a cloud (toyadam). The "cloud" likely refers to Garuda or the dark complexion of Vishnu himself contrasted with the golden ornaments. The gold armlets (keyūra) signify royalty. His reception—being worshipped by the "best of gods" (surottamaiḥ)—establishes his role as the ultimate refuge in times of crisis.

यहाँ भगवान विष्णु की शोभा का उपमा अलंकार के माध्यम से वर्णन है। गरुड़ पर सवार विष्णु ऐसे लग रहे हैं जैसे श्याम वर्ण के बादलों ('तोयदम्') पर सूर्य ('भास्कर') चमक रहा हो। गरुड़ को 'वैनतेय' (विनता का पुत्र) कहा गया है। 'तप्त हाटक' का अर्थ है तपते हुए या शुद्ध किए हुए सोने के आभूषण। सभी देवता, जो अभी ब्रह्मा जी से बात कर रहे थे, अब विष्णु की वंदना कर रहे हैं, जो उनकी सर्वोच्चता को दर्शाता है।
