Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सिद्ध गन्धर्व यक्षाः च ततः त्वाम् श्ररणम् गताः ।
त्वम् गतिः परमा देव सर्वेषाम् नः परंतपः ॥ ॥१-१५-२५॥
Siddha gandharva yakṣāḥ ca tataḥ tvām śraraṇam gatāḥ । Tvam gatiḥ paramā deva sarveṣām naḥ parantapaḥ ॥ ॥1-15-25॥
Translation
Therefore, Siddhas, Gandharvas, and Yakshas have sought refuge in You. O Subduer of Enemies! You are the supreme resort/refuge for all of us.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इसीलिए सिद्ध, गन्धर्व और यक्ष आपकी शरण में आए हैं। हे शत्रुओं को तपाने वाले देव! हम सबके लिए आप ही परम गति (अंतिम सहारा) हैं।
English Commentary
This verse articulates the doctrine of Sharanagati (total surrender). When self-effort and other means fail, seeking refuge in the Divine is the only path. Vishnu is called Parama Gatih—the ultimate goal and resort. The epithet Parantapa (Scorcher of Foes) is used intentionally to invoke Vishnu's warrior aspect, reminding Him that He alone possesses the power to vanquish this particular evil.

यह श्लोक 'शरणागति' (पूर्ण समर्पण) के सिद्धांत को प्रतिपादित करता है। जब अपने बल और अन्य उपायों से काम न चले, तो ईश्वर की शरण ही एकमात्र उपाय है। विष्णु को ‘परमा गतिः’ कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है अंतिम गंतव्य और रक्षक। ‘परंतप’ विशेषण का प्रयोग यह याद दिलाने के लिए है कि विष्णु शत्रुओं का नाश करने में सक्षम हैं, इसलिए वे ही एकमात्र आशा हैं।
