त्वया तस्मै वरो दत्तः प्रीतेन भगवन् तदा ।
मानयन्तः च तम् नित्यम् सर्वम् तस्य क्षमामहे ॥ ॥१-१५-७॥
Tvayā tasmai varo dattaḥ prītena bhagavan tadā |
Mānayantaḥ ca tam nityam sarvam tasya kṣamāmahe ॥1-15-7॥
Translation
"O Lord! You granted him a boon when you were pleased. Respecting that boon consistently, we endure everything from him."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे भगवन्! आपने प्रसन्न होकर उसे वरदान दिया था। हम आपके उस वरदान का नित्य मान रखते हुए उसके सभी अत्याचारों को सहन (क्षमा) कर रहे हैं।"
English Commentary
This verse highlights the ethical dilemma and discipline of the Devas. They are not merely cowards; they are bound by cosmic protocol. Because Brahma granted the boon, the Devas respect (mānayantaḥ) the Creator's word above their own comfort. They "forgive" or endure (kṣamāmahe) Ravana's atrocities not out of weakness, but out of reverence for the Supreme Order. It contrasts the law-abiding nature of the Devas with the chaotic nature of the Rakshasa.

यह श्लोक देवताओं के अनुशासन और मर्यादा को दर्शाता है। देवता रावण से कमजोर नहीं हैं, परन्तु वे ब्रह्मा जी के वचन ('वर') का सम्मान ('मानयन्तः') करते हैं। वे रावण का प्रतिकार इसलिए नहीं कर रहे क्योंकि ऐसा करने से ब्रह्मा जी के वरदान का अपमान होगा। इसलिए वे 'क्षमहे' (सहन कर रहे हैं)। यह बुराई और अच्छाई के बीच का अंतर स्पष्ट करता है: रावण शक्ति का दुरुपयोग करता है, जबकि देवता शक्ति होते हुए भी मर्यादा में बंधे हैं।
