क्षोभ येयुः च वेगेन समुद्रम् सरिताम् पतिम् ।
दार येयुः क्षितिम् पद्भ्याम् आप्लवेयुः महा अर्णवन् ॥ ॥१-१७-२७॥
Kṣobha yeyuḥ ca vegena samudram saritām patim । Dāra yeyuḥ kṣitim padbhyām āplaveyuḥ mahā arṇavan ॥ ॥1-17-27॥
Translation
With their speed, they could agitate the Ocean, the lord of rivers. They could tear the earth apart with their feet and leap across the mighty oceans.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे अपने वेग से नदियों के स्वामी समुद्र को भी क्षुब्ध (हलचल युक्त) कर सकते थे। वे अपने पैरों (की धमक) से पृथ्वी को फाड़ सकते थे और महासागरों को लांघ सकते थे।
English Commentary
The kinetic potential of the army is described here. Their movement alone generates enough force to disturb the ocean (Saritām patim). The imagery of tearing the earth (Dāra yeyuḥ kṣitim) with their steps conveys their density and mass. The mention of leaping over oceans foreshadows the pivotal plot point of the Sundara Kanda, establishing that such feats were innate to their species' design.

यहाँ वानरों की गतिज ऊर्जा (Kinetic Energy) का वर्णन है। उनका वेग इतना प्रचंड था कि समुद्र में ज्वार आ जाता था। 'आप्लवेयुः महा अर्णवन्' (महासागर को लांघना) भविष्य में हनुमान जी द्वारा किए जाने वाले कार्य की ओर संकेत करता है, लेकिन यहाँ बताया गया है कि यह क्षमता कई वानरों में थी। यह श्लोक उनकी शारीरिक क्षमताओं की अतिशयोक्ति (Hyperbole) नहीं, बल्कि उनके दैवीय मूल का प्रमाण है।
