Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
असंहार्यान् उपायज्ञान् दिव्य संहनन अन्वितान् ।
सर्व अस्त्र गुण संपन्नानन् अमृत प्राशनान् इव ॥ ॥१-१७-४॥
asaṃhāryān upāyajñān divya saṃhanana anvitān |
sarva astra guṇa saṃpannānan amṛta prāśanān iva ॥1-17-4॥
Translation
Let them be indestructible, knowledgeable in strategies, and possessed of divine bodies. They should be skilled in the use of all weapons and appear as if they have consumed the nectar of immortality.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे किसी से भी न मारे जाने वाले (असंहार्य) हों, कार्य सिद्ध करने के उपायों को जानने वाले हों, और उनका शरीर दिव्य और वज्र के समान कठोर हो। वे सभी प्रकार के अस्त्रों के गुणों से संपन्न हों और ऐसे लगें जैसे उन्होंने अमृत पी रखा हो (अमर हों)।
English Commentary
The blueprint for the warriors continues. They are to be Asamharyan (invincible/indestructible) and possessed of Divya Samhanana (divine physique/constitution). This explains how the Vanaras later survived direct hits from powerful celestial weapons used by Indrajit and Ravana. Being Upayajnan (knowers of strategies) implies they weren't just foot soldiers but tactical thinkers. The reference to Amrita (nectar) suggests they would possess vitality and longevity that defies mortal limits, essentially making them nearly immortal agents of the gods.
