अभ्यागच्छत् महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः ।
स राज्ञो दर्शन आकांक्षी द्वार अध्यक्षान् उवाच ह ॥१-१८-३९॥
abhyāgacchat mahātejā viśvāmitro mahāmuniḥ |
sa rājño darśana ākāṅkṣī dvāra adhyakṣān uvāca ha ॥1-18-39॥
Translation
...the great sage Vishvamitra of great splendor arrived. Desirous of seeing the King, he spoke to the gatekeepers.

...तभी महातेजस्वी महामुनि विश्वामित्र वहां आ पहुंचे। राजा के दर्शन के इच्छुक (मुनि) ने द्वारपालों (द्वार अध्यक्षों) से कहा।
English Commentary
The arrival of Vishvamitra is a turning point in the epic. He is described as Mahateja (of great splendor/energy), reflecting the intensity of his ascetic merit. Vishvamitra is a towering figure who transitioned from a King to a Sage by sheer will, often challenging the established order. His desire to see the King is purposeful. Despite his immense power, he respects protocol by addressing the gatekeepers (Dvara adhyakshan) first. His presence signifies that the divine plan for Rama is about to be activated, disrupting Dasharatha's domestic plans.

यह रामायण का एक निर्णायक क्षण है। 'महातेजा' और 'महामुनि' विश्वामित्र का आगमन होता है। विश्वामित्र क्षत्रिय से ब्रह्मर्षि बने थे और अपने उग्र तप और क्रोध के लिए विख्यात थे। वे राजा से मिलने के इच्छुक ('दर्शन आकांक्षी') हैं, लेकिन शिष्टाचार का पालन करते हुए सीधे अंदर नहीं जाते, बल्कि 'द्वार अध्यक्षान्' (द्वारपालों) को सूचित करते हैं। उनका आगमन राजा की विवाह-योजनाओं में विघ्न प्रतीत हो सकता है, लेकिन वास्तव में यह राम के अवतार-प्रयोजन (रावण वध) की दिशा में पहला कदम है।
