श्रीमताम् गच्छताम् तेषाम् स्वगृहाणि पुरात ततः ।
बलानि राज्ञाम् शुभ्राणि प्रहृष्टानि चकाशिरे ॥ ॥१-१८-४॥
Śrīmatām gacchatām teṣām svagṛhāṇi purāt tataḥ । Balāni rājñām śubhrāṇi prahṛṣṭāni cakāśire ॥ ॥1-18-4॥
Translation
As those glorious kings departed from the city towards their homes, their bright and joyous armies shone radiantly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
नगर से अपने घरों को लौटते हुए उन श्रीमान (वैभवशाली) राजाओं की चमचमाती और प्रसन्न सेनाएँ अत्यंत शोभायमान हो रही थीं।
English Commentary
The verse captures the visual spectacle of the dispersing armies. The adjectives Shubhrani (bright/white/radiant) and Prahrishtani (joyous) applied to the Balani (armies) suggest that the soldiers were well-fed, gifted, and rested. It reflects the wealth of Ayodhya, as the guests leave not weary, but rejuvenated and resplendent, carrying the glory of Dasharatha's hospitality back to their own lands.

यह एक दृश्य-प्रधान (visual) श्लोक है। राजाओं की विदाई कोई साधारण घटना नहीं थी; उनकी सेनाओं की चमक ('शुभ्राणि') और प्रसन्नता ('प्रहृष्टानि') दशरथ के वैभव और उस उत्सव की भव्यता को दर्शाती है। जब अतिथि प्रसन्न होकर जाते हैं, तो मेजबान की कीर्ति बढ़ती है। 'चकाशिरे' (चमक रही थीं) शब्द से पता चलता है कि सैनिकों के अस्त्र-शस्त्र और वस्त्र नए या उपहार में मिले हुए हो सकते हैं।
