न च तौ राघवात् अन्यो हन्तुम् उत्सहते पुमान् ।
वीर्य उत्सिक्तौ हि तौ पापौ काल पाश वशम् गतौ ॥ ॥१-१९-१२॥
Na ca tau rāghavāt anyo hantum utsahate pumān । Vīrya utsiktau hi tau pāpau kāla pāśa vaśam gatau ॥ ॥1-19-12॥
Translation
No man other than Raghava (Rama) can dare to kill them. Those two sinners are arrogant with power, but they are already caught in the noose of Time (destiny).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राघव (राम) के अतिरिक्त कोई दूसरा पुरुष ihnen मारने का उत्साह (साहस) नहीं कर सकता। वे दोनों पापी अपने बल के घमंड में चूर हैं, किन्तु अब वे कालपाश (मृत्यु) के वश में हो चुके हैं।
English Commentary
The use of the patronymic "Raghava" serves to remind Dasharatha of his lineage's heroic history. Vishwamitra states that only Rama can eliminate these threats. The phrase Kala pasha vasham gatau (caught in the noose of Time) is philosophically significant. It implies that the demons' death is already written by destiny due to their hubris; Rama is merely the instrumental agent who will execute that destiny. The Sage sees the timeline of events where the demons are already dead.

यहाँ विश्वामित्र 'राघव' शब्द का प्रयोग जानबूझकर करते हैं, जो रघुकुल की प्रतिष्ठा का सूचक है। वे कहते हैं कि यह कार्य केवल राम के लिए बना है। 'काल पाश वशम् गतौ' (वे काल के फंदे में आ चुके हैं) एक बहुत गहरा दार्शनिक कथन है। इसका अर्थ है कि उनकी मृत्यु तो नियति द्वारा निश्चित की जा चुकी है; राम तो केवल 'निमित्त मात्र' (माध्यम) बनेंगे। जब पाप का घड़ा भर जाता है (वीर्य उत्सिक्तौ), तो विनाश निकट होता है।
