यत् तु मे हृद् गतम् वाक्यम् तस्य कार्यस्य निश्चयम्।
कुरुष्व राज शार्दूल भव सत्य प्रतिश्रवः ॥१-१९-३॥
Yat tu me hṛd gatam vākyam tasya kāryasya niścayam। Kuruṣva rāja śārdūla bhava satya pratiśravaḥ॥ ॥1-19-3॥
Translation
Make a firm resolve now to execute the task that is in my heart. O Tiger among Kings, be true to your promise.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मेरे हृदय में जो बात है (जो कार्य मैं चाहता हूँ), उस कार्य का अब आप निश्चय कर लीजिए। हे राजशार्दूल! आप अपनी प्रतिज्ञा (वचन) पर सत्य और अटल रहें।
English Commentary
Vishvamitra tightens the binding of the vow before revealing the specific request. He refers to the task as 'hrid gatam' (seated in the heart), indicating it is a matter of deep personal importance. The command "bhava satya pratishravah" (be true to your promise) serves as a subtle warning. Vishvamitra anticipates the emotional shock his request will cause. He is essentially saying, "Brace yourself and do not back down from what you have just offered." It is the point of no return for Dasharatha.

विश्वामित्र अब अपनी मांग रखने से ठीक पहले राजा को सावधान कर रहे हैं। 'हृद् गतम् वाक्यम्'—वह बात जो अब तक ऋषि के दिल में छिपी थी, अब बाहर आने वाली है। वे राजा से कहते हैं—'कुरुष्व निश्चयम्' (पक्का इरादा कर लो)। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण वाक्यांश है 'भव सत्य प्रतिश्रवः' (अपने वादे पर सच्चे रहना)। ऋषि को अंतर्ज्ञान से पता है कि उनकी मांग (राम को ले जाना) राजा को विचलित कर देगी, इसलिए वे पहले ही राजा को सत्य के बंधन में जकड़ रहे हैं।
