ते अपि पुत्रा कृशाश्वस्य प्रजापति सुता सुताः ।
न एक रूपा महावीर्या दीप्तिमंतो जयावहाः ॥ ॥१-२१-१४॥
Te api putrā kṛśāśvasya prajāpati sutā sutāḥ |
Na eka rūpā mahāvīryā dīptimaṃto jayāvahāḥ ॥1-21-14॥
Translation
"Those sons of Krishashva are essentially the grandsons of Prajapati. They possess various forms, are incredibly powerful, radiant, and bringers of victory."

"कृशाश्व के वे पुत्र वास्तव में प्रजापति के पौत्र हैं। वे अनेक रूपों वाले, महाबली, अत्यंत तेजस्वी और (हमेशा) विजय दिलाने वाले हैं।"
English Commentary
Vasistha traces the lineage of the weapons to the Creator (Prajapati) to emphasize their divinity. Describing them as having "various forms" (Na eka rupa) implies they are shapeshifting forces of energy. Crucially, they are called jayavahah (bringers of victory). This is the clincher for Dasharatha: if Rama acts as the vessel for these weapons, victory is guaranteed, and defeat is impossible.

वसिष्ठ अस्त्रों की वंशावली (Genealogy) बता रहे हैं ताकि दशरथ को उनकी शक्ति पर विश्वास हो। वे प्रजापति (ब्रह्मा) के वंशज हैं, इसलिए वे अजेय हैं। 'न एक रूपा' का अर्थ है कि वे कामरूपी हैं—जैसी आवश्यकता हो, वैसा रूप धारण कर सकते हैं। 'जयावहाः' सबसे महत्वपूर्ण शब्द है—अर्थात वे अस्त्र जिसके पास हों, उसकी विजय निश्चित है। यह दशरथ को आश्वस्त करता है कि राम की हार असंभव है।
