Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवम् वीर्यो महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महा यशाः ।
न राम गमने राजन् संशयम् गन्तुम् अर्हसि ॥ ॥१-२१-२०॥
Evam vīryo mahātejā viśvāmitro mahā yaśāḥ । Na rāma gamane rājan saṃśayam gantum arhasi ॥ ॥1-21-20॥
Translation
Such is the valor, great radiance, and immense fame of Vishwamitra. O King, you should not entertain any doubt regarding Rama's departure with him.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन्! विश्वामित्र ऐसे पराक्रमी, महातेजस्वी और महायशस्वी हैं। अतः राम के उनके साथ जाने के विषय में आपको तनिक भी संशय नहीं करना चाहिए।
English Commentary
Vasistha summarizes his argument by piling honorifics upon Vishwamitra: Vīryo (valor), Mahātejā (great spiritual radiance), and Mahā yaśāḥ (renowned fame). This triad covers physical strength, spiritual potency, and social standing. The command to the King is direct: "You ought not to doubt" (saṃśayam gantum arhasi). Vasistha moves from explaining the weapons to explaining the man holding them, asserting that the company of such a glorious personage is the safest and most beneficial place for a prince. It serves as the final push to break Dasharatha’s attachment-born hesitation.
