तस्य रोष परीतस्य विश्वामित्रस्य धीमतः ।
चचाल वसुधा कृत्स्ना देवानाम् च भयम् ॥ ॥१-२१-४॥
Tasya roṣa parītasya viśvāmitrasya dhīmataḥ |
Cacāla vasudhā kṛtsnā devānām ca bhayam ॥1-21-4॥
Translation
As the wise Vishwamitra was seized by rage, the entire earth trembled, and fear gripped even the Gods.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान विश्वामित्र के रोष से भर जाने पर पूरी पृथ्वी कांप उठी और देवताओं को भी भय हो गया (कि कहीं अनर्थ न हो जाए)।
English Commentary
The power of Vishwamitra’s asceticism is such that his anger has cosmic repercussions. The trembling of the earth and the fear among the Gods signify that this is no ordinary temper tantrum; it is a spiritual disturbance capable of causing great calamity. Even in his rage, he is called dhimatah (wise), suggesting his anger is a righteous reaction to the violation of Dharma, making it all the more potent and terrifying.

विश्वामित्र की तपस्या का बल इतना अधिक है कि उनके क्रोध का प्रभाव केवल अयोध्या तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि ब्रह्मांडीय (cosmic) है। 'वसुधा' (पृथ्वी) का कांपना और देवताओं का डरना यह बताता है कि यदि ऋषि का क्रोध शांत नहीं किया गया, तो प्रलयंकारी स्थिति उत्पन्न हो सकती है। यहाँ ऋषि को 'धीमतः' (बुद्धिमान) कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि उनका क्रोध अकारण नहीं है; यह धर्म की रक्षा के लिए एक ज्ञानी का रोष है।
