न च सुप्तम् प्रमत्तम् वा धर्ष इष्यन्ति नैरृताः ।
न बाह्वोः सदृशो वीर्ये पृथिव्याम् अस्ति कश्चन ॥ ॥१-२२-१३॥
Na ca suptam pramattam vā dharṣa iṣyanti nairṛtāḥ । Na bāhvoḥ sadṛśo vīrye pṛthivyām asti kaścana ॥ ॥1-22-13॥
Translation
(The demons (Nairritas) will not be able to attack or overpower you, even if you are sleeping or off-guard. Furthermore, there is no one on earth who will equal the strength of your arms.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(इन विद्याओं के प्रभाव से) तुम चाहे सोए हो या असावधान हो, राक्षस (नैऋत) तुम पर आक्रमण (धृष्टता) नहीं कर सकेंगे। और इस पृथ्वी पर बाहुबल में तुम्हारे समान कोई दूसरा नहीं होगा।
English Commentary
Here, the strategic value of the mantras is explained. The demons (Nairritas) fight with deceit, often attacking victims who are asleep (suptam) or distracted (pramattam). Vishwamitra ensures Rama is protected against such asymmetrical warfare. Beyond defense, the mantras grant unassailable offensive power, ensuring Rama's physical prowess (virye) remains unmatched on earth. It prepares the vessel (Rama) to hold the divine weapons (Astras) that will be given later.

यह श्लोक सुरक्षा की गारंटी है। वन में राक्षस अक्सर सोते समय या जब व्यक्ति असावधान ("प्रमत्त") होता है, तब कपट से हमला करते हैं। बला और अतिबला विद्या एक अदृश्य कवच (shield) की तरह काम करती हैं जो 24 घंटे सक्रिय रहती है। साथ ही, यह मंत्र राम के शारीरिक बाहुबल को भी अद्वितीय बना देगा। यह केवल रक्षात्मक नहीं, बल्कि शक्तिवर्धक विद्या भी है।
