ततो वायुः सुख स्पर्शो नीरजस्को ववौ तदा ।
विश्वामित्र गतम् रामम् दृष्ट्वा राजीव लोचनम् ॥ ॥१-२२-४॥
Tato vāyuḥ sukha sparśo nīrajasko vavau tadā । Viśvāmitra gatam rāmam dṛṣṭvā rājīva locanam ॥ ॥1-22-4॥
Translation
Seeing the lotus-eyed Rama following Vishwamitra, a pleasant, dust-free breeze began to blow at that moment.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कमल नयन राम को विश्वामित्र के पीछे जाता देख, उस समय धूल-रहित और सुखद स्पर्श वाली हवा बहने लगी।
English Commentary
Nature responds to the auspicious beginning of Rama's journey. The wind blowing free of dust (nīrajasko) serves as a Shakuna (good omen), symbolizing clarity, purity, and a path free of obstacles. The breeze is described as sukha sparśo (pleasant to the touch), indicating that the environment is soothing rather than harsh. The description of Rama as Rājīva locanam (lotus-eyed) contrasts his gentle, divine beauty with the rugged journey he is undertaking. It signifies that the cosmos is rejoicing at the commencement of the mission to eliminate evil.

प्रकृति ईश्वरीय कार्यों में सदैव सहभागी होती है। जैसे ही राम ने प्रस्थान किया, 'वायु' देवता ने अनुकूल संकेत दिए। हवा 'नीरजस्को' (धूल रहित) थी, जो स्पष्टता और बाधा-रहित यात्रा का प्रतीक है। 'सुख स्पर्शो' (सुखद स्पर्श वाली) हवा यह बताती है कि प्रकृति राम की यात्रा का स्वागत कर रही है। राम को यहाँ 'राजीव लोचनम्' (कमल के समान नेत्र वाले) कहा गया है, जो उनकी सौम्यता को दर्शाता है, भले ही वे एक कठोर मिशन पर जा रहे हों। यह एक शुभ शकुन (Good Omen) है।
