अभिगच्छामहे सर्वे शुचयः पुण्यम् आश्रमम् ।
इह वासः परोऽस्माकम् सुखम् वस्त्यामहे वयम् ॥ ॥१-२३-१७॥
abhigacchāmahe sarve śucayaḥ puṇyam āśramam |
iha vāsaḥ paro'smākam sukham vastyāmahe vayam ॥1-23-17॥
Translation
Let us all, being pure, enter this holy hermitage. Staying here is best for us, and we shall dwell here happily.

हम सभी पवित्र होकर इस पुण्य आश्रम में प्रवेश करते हैं। यहाँ रहना हमारे लिए श्रेष्ठ होगा और हम यहाँ सुखपूर्वक निवास करेंगे।
English Commentary
The emphasis on entering the hermitage "Shuchayah" (having become pure) is significant. It implies both physical cleanliness (washing limbs) and mental purity required before entering a sacred space. Vishwamitra suggests that dwelling in the company of sages is the highest form of living ("Paro Vasah"), guaranteeing happiness and peace. This underscores the etiquette and reverence required when visiting spiritual sanctuaries.
