Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न्यवसन् सुसुखम् तत्र काम आश्रम पदे तथा ।
कथाभिः अभिरामाभिः अभिरमौ नृपात्मजौ ॥ ॥१-२३-२२॥
nyavasan susukham tatra kāma āśrama pade tathā |
kathābhiḥ abhirāmābhiḥ abhiramau nṛpātmajau ॥1-23-22॥
Translation
They dwelt very happily there in the hermitage of Kama. The best of sages (Vishwamitra) delighted the two princes with charming and pleasant stories.

उस काम-आश्रम में उन्होंने (विश्वामित्र और राजकुमारों ने) वह रात्रि बड़े सुख से बिताई। मुनिपुंगव विश्वामित्र ने सुंदर और मनोहर कथाओं द्वारा उन दोनों राजकुमारों का मनोरंजन किया।
English Commentary
This is the concluding verse of Sarga 23. The phrase "Kathabhih Abhiramabhih" suggests that education in the Vedic tradition was not just rigorous discipline but also included delightful engagement. Vishwamitra, acting as a skillful mentor, narrates enchanting tales to relieve the princes' fatigue and impart wisdom.
