Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तम् दृष्ट्वा परम प्रीतौ राघवौ पुण्यम् आश्रमम् ।
ऊचतुः तम् महात्मानम् विश्वामित्रम् इदम् वचः ॥ ॥१-२३-७॥
Tam dṛṣṭvā parama prītau rāghavau puṇyam āśramam । Ūcatuḥ tam mahātmānam viśvāmitram idam vacaḥ ॥ ॥1-23-7॥
Translation
Seeing that holy hermitage, the two Raghava princes were filled with great delight and spoke these words to the high-souled Vishwamitra.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस पवित्र आश्रम को देखकर रघुकुल नंदन (राम और लक्ष्मण) अत्यंत प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने महात्मा विश्वामित्र से यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
The sight of the holy ashram evokes an instinctive joy (Parama pritau) in the pure hearts of the princes. This visual stimulus triggers their curiosity. It sets the stage for a dialogue where the Guru will reveal the history (Itihasa) of the location. The joy indicates their resonance with the spiritual environment.
हिंदी टीका
पवित्र स्थान को देखकर सात्विक मन में स्वतः ही प्रसन्नता ("परम प्रीतौ") उत्पन्न होती है। राम और लक्ष्मण के मन में जिज्ञासा उठी। गुरु के सानिध्य में शिष्य को हमेशा प्रश्न पूछने और ज्ञान प्राप्त करने के लिए तत्पर रहना चाहिए, यही भाव यहां प्रकट हो रहा है।
