भक्षार्थम् जात संरम्भा गर्जन्ती सा अभ्यधावत ।

English Commentary
Tataka's transformation into a monster is behavioral before it is physical. The intent to eat the sage (Bhakshartham) signifies her total loss of civilized dharma. Roaring (Garjanti) and charging, she embodies chaotic rage. Agastya is described as Bhagavan, indicating his god-like power and composure. He does not flee; he observes her approach, preparing to deliver justice.

ताड़का का पतन पूर्ण हो जाता है जब वह 'भक्षार्थम्' (खाने के लिए) दौड़ती है। यक्ष जाति सभ्य मानी जाती है, लेकिन यहाँ वह नरभक्षी (Cannibalistic) व्यवहार कर रही है। 'गर्जन्ती' (गरजती हुई) शब्द उसकी राक्षसी प्रवृत्ति को दर्शाता है। अगस्त्य मुनि, जो 'भगवान' (पूजनीय/शक्तिशाली) कहे गए हैं, भयभीत नहीं हुए। उन्होंने केवल उसे आते हुए देखा। ऋषि का धैर्य और ताड़का का उग्रपन—दो विपरीत ध्रुवों का सामना है।
