पुरुषादी महायक्षी विरूपा विकृत आनना ।
इदम् रूपम् विहायाशु दारुणम् रूपम् अस्तु ते ॥ ॥१-२५-१३॥
Puruṣādī mahāyakṣī virūpā vikṛta ānanā । Idam rūpam vihāyāśu dāruṇam rūpam astu te ॥ ॥1-25-13॥
Translation
"O huge Yakshini, become a man-eater, deformed, and with a distorted face. Abandoning this (beautiful) form, may you instantly assume a terrible form."

(अगस्त्य ने कहा) "हे महायक्षी! तुम मनुष्यों को खाने वाली (पुरुषादी), विरूप (कुरूप) और विकृत मुख वाली हो जाओ। अपने इस सुंदर रूप को छोड़कर तुम शीघ्र ही भयानक रूप वाली हो जाओ।"
English Commentary
The specific terms of the curse are detailed. She loses her celestial beauty (Idam rupam vihaya - abandoning this form) and is condemned to be Virupa (deformed) and Vikrita anana (having a twisted/distorted face). The label Purushadi (eater of men) seals her fate as a predator of humanity. This explains to Rama why a being born of a noble Yaksha now looks and acts like a nightmare.

यह वह क्षण है जब सुंदर ताड़का उस भयानक राक्षसी में बदल गई जिसे राम अब देख रहे हैं। शाप के शब्द बहुत स्पष्ट हैं—'पुरुषादी' (नर्भक्षी) और 'विकृत आनना' (डरावने चेहरे वाली)। ऋषि ने उसका सबसे बड़ा गर्व—उसका सौंदर्य—छीन लिया। 'आशु' का अर्थ है तुरंत। यह कायाकल्प (metamorphosis) उसी क्षण हुआ। यही कारण है कि अब वह वन में भयानक रूप में विचरती है।
