मुनेर् वचनम् अक्लीबम् श्रुत्वा नरवरात्मजः ।
राघवः प्राञ्जलिः भूत्वा प्रत्युवाच दृढव्रतः ॥ ॥१-२६-१॥
muner vacanam aklībam śrutvā naravarātmajaḥ । rāghavaḥ prāñjaliḥ bhūtvā pratyuvāca dṛḍhavrataḥ ॥ ॥1-26-1॥
Translation
Hearing the manly and firm words of the sage, the son of the best of men (Rama), firm in his vows, joined his palms in reverence and replied.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मुनि के पौरुषपूर्ण (अक्लीब) वचनों को सुनकर, नरों में श्रेष्ठ दशरथ के पुत्र, दृढ़व्रती राघव ने हाथ जोड़कर उत्तर दिया।
English Commentary
The narrative shifts to Rama's reaction. The term akleebam describes Viswamitra's words as devoid of weakness—they were manly, direct, and authoritative. Rama is described as Dridhavrata (firm in resolve/vows). Despite the violent nature of the task ahead, Rama maintains the etiquette of a student, standing with joined palms (pranjali). This verse captures the ideal demeanor of a warrior-disciple: internally resolute and fearless, yet externally humble and respectful toward authority.

यहाँ राम की शारीरिक और मानसिक स्थिति का वर्णन है। विश्वामित्र के वचन 'अक्लीब' (कायरता से रहित/स्पष्ट) थे। राम 'दृढव्रती' हैं, जिसका अर्थ है कि एक बार निश्चय करने के बाद वे पीछे नहीं हटते। राम का 'प्राञ्जलि' (हाथ जोड़ना) होना उनकी विनयशीलता को दर्शाता है। यद्यपि वे एक शक्तिशाली राजकुमार हैं और एक राक्षसी का वध करने जा रहे हैं, फिर भी अपने गुरु के समक्ष उनकी मुद्रा अत्यंत विनम्र है। यह शक्ति और विनय का अद्भुत संगम है।
