विश्वामित्रस्तु ब्रह्मर्षिः हुंकारेणा अभिभर्त्स्य ताम् ।
स्वस्ति राघवयोः अस्तु जयम् च एव अभ्यभाषत ॥ ॥१-२६-१४॥
viśvāmitrastu brahmarṣiḥ huṃkāreṇa abhibhartsya tām । svasti rāghavayoḥ astu jayam ca eva abhyabhāṣata ॥ ॥1-26-14॥
Translation
The Brahmarshi Viswamitra, rebuking her with a loud 'Hum' sound, uttered words for the safety and victory of the two Raghus.

तब ब्रह्मर्षि विश्वामित्र ने हुंकार भरकर उसे डाँटा और "राघवों का कल्याण हो और विजय प्राप्त हो," ऐसा उद्घोष किया।
English Commentary
Viswamitra intervenes not with a weapon, but with spiritual force. He releases a Humkara—a menacing, resonant sound used in Tantra and Yoga to rebuke evil spirits or disperse negative energy. He effectively pauses or rattles the demoness. Simultaneously, he casts a protective benediction (Svasti) and a wish for victory (Jayam) over the princes. This illustrates the Guru's role: providing the spiritual cover fire while the disciples engage in physical combat.

गुरु विश्वामित्र सतर्क हैं। जैसे ही ताड़का झपटी, उन्होंने उसे 'हुंकार' से रोका। तंत्र और योग में 'हुंकार' एक शक्तिशाली ध्वनि है जो नकारात्मक शक्तियों को बाधित करती है। इसके साथ ही उन्होंने राम-लक्ष्मण को 'स्वस्ति' (सुरक्षा) और 'जय' (विजय) का आशीर्वाद दिया। यह गुरु की भूमिका है—संकट के समय शिष्य की रक्षा करना (आध्यात्मिक बल से) और उसका मनोबल बढ़ाना। ऋषियों के पास शस्त्र नहीं, पर 'वचन' और 'मंत्र' का बल होता है।
