Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अश्म वर्षम् विमुंचन्ती भैरवम् विचचार सा ।
ततः तौ अश्म वर्षेण कीर्यमाणौ समन्ततः ॥ ॥१-२६-२०॥
aśma varṣam vimuṃcantī bhairavam vicacāra sā । tataḥ tau aśma varṣeṇa kīryamāṇau samantataḥ ॥ ॥1-26-20॥
Translation
Releasing a terrible rain of stones, she roamed about (invisibly). Then, the two were scattered/covered on all sides by that rain of stones.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह भयानक पत्थरों की वर्षा करती हुई (अदृश्य होकर) घूमने लगी। तब वे दोनों (राम और लक्ष्मण) चारों ओर से पत्थरों की वर्षा से ढक गए।
English Commentary
The danger escalates dramatically. Tataka is now an invisible, mobile artillery unit, moving rapidly (vicacara) while maintaining a barrage of heavy stones (ashma varsham). The princes are pinned down, covered by debris from all sides. This asymmetry—an unseen enemy striking exposed targets—tests the limits of conventional warfare. It sets the stage for the necessity of divine weaponry or superior perception skills, as sight is no longer useful.

स्थिति अब गंभीर हो गई है। ताड़का दिखाई नहीं दे रही, लेकिन उसके द्वारा फेंके गए पत्थर मिसाइलों की तरह बरस रहे हैं। 'विचचार' शब्द बताता है कि वह एक जगह स्थिर नहीं है, बल्कि तेजी से स्थान बदल रही है ताकि उस पर निशाना न लगाया जा सके। राम और लक्ष्मण चारों तरफ से ('समन्ततः') घिर गए हैं। यह दृश्य दिखाता है कि मायावी शक्तियाँ कितनी खतरनाक हो सकती हैं; बिना दिखाई दिए वह वीरों को भी संकट में डाल सकती है।
