Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
रक्षांसि संध्या काले तु दुर्धर्षाणि भवन्ति हि ।
इति उक्तः स तु ताम् यक्षीम् अश्म वृष्ट्या अभिवर्षणीम् ॥ ॥१-२६-२३॥
rakṣāṃsi sandhyā kāle tu durdharṣāṇi bhavanti hi । iti uktaḥ sa tu tām yakṣīm aśma vṛṣṭyā abhivarṣaṇīm ॥ ॥1-26-23॥
Translation
"For Rakshasas become unassailable at the time of twilight." Thus addressed, he (Rama) obstructed that Yakshini who was showering stones.
हिंदी अनुवाद
"क्योंकि राक्षस संध्या काल में अजेय (दुर्धर्ष) हो जाते हैं।" ऐसा कहे जाने पर, राम ने पत्थरों की वर्षा करने वाली उस यक्षी को (रोका)।
English Commentary
The lore of the Rakshasas is confirmed: twilight makes them durdharshani (invincible/difficult to assault). Accepting this critical intelligence from his Guru, Rama drops his hesitation. The verse describes him engaging the target who is defined here by her action—ashma vrishtya abhivarshanim (the one raining down stones). Rama prepares to execute the final maneuver based on sound, as sight is obscured by her magic.

विश्वामित्र के तर्क को राम ने स्वीकार कर लिया। यह ज्ञान कि 'संध्या काल में राक्षस दुर्धर्ष (जिसे हराना कठिन हो) होते हैं', राम के लिए अंतिम संकेत था। अब राम ने अपनी रक्षात्मक नीति छोड़ दी। यद्यपि ताड़का दिखाई नहीं दे रही थी और केवल पत्थरों की बारिश कर रही थी, राम ने उस अदृश्य स्रोत को लक्ष्य बनाया। गुरु का ज्ञान और शिष्य का पौरुष यहाँ एक साथ कार्य कर रहे हैं।
