Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अभि दुद्राव काकुत्स्थम् लक्षमणम् च विनेषुदी ।
ताम् आपतन्तीम् वेगेन विक्रान्ताम् अशनीम् इव ॥ ॥१-२६-२५॥
abhi dudrāva kākutstham lakṣmaṇam ca vineṣudī । tām āpatantīm vegena vikrāntām aśanīm iva ॥ ॥1-26-25॥
Translation
Screaming loudly, she rushed toward Kakutstha (Rama) and Lakshmana. She came charging with speed, powerful like a thunderbolt.

(बाणों में फंसने पर) वह जोर से चिल्लाती हुई राम और लक्ष्मण की ओर दौड़ी। वह बिजली (अशनि) के समान वेग और पराक्रम के साथ उन पर झपटी।
English Commentary
Trapped and desperate, Tataka launches her final strike. Breaking through or ignoring the containment, she charges directly at the brothers. The comparison to Ashani (a thunderbolt/lightning strike) suggests immense speed and destructive energy. She creates a terrifying sonic boom (vineshudi) as she descends. It is the moment of truth—she is no longer a distant thrower of stones, but an immediate, lethal projectile aimed at the princes.

जब ताड़का ने देखा कि वह घिर गई है, तो उसने आत्मघाती हमला (Suicide attack) किया। वह 'विनेषुदी' (भयंकर नाद करती हुई) सीधे राम-लक्ष्मण पर झपटी। उसकी तुलना 'अशनी' (वज्र या बिजली) से की गई है, जो उसके वेग और विनाशकारी क्षमता को दर्शाती है। यह युद्ध का चरमोत्कर्ष (Climax) है। अब राम के पास उसे मारने के अलावा कोई विकल्प नहीं बचा है, क्योंकि वह साक्षात् मृत्यु बनकर आ रही है।
