सोम अस्त्रम् शिशिरम् नाम त्वाष्ट्रम् अस्त्रम् सुदारुणम् ।
दारुणम् च भगस्य अपि शितेषुम् अथ मानवम् ॥१-२७-२०॥
soma astram śiśiram nāma tvāṣṭram astram sudāruṇam |
dāruṇam ca bhagasya api śiteṣum atha mānavam ॥1-27-20॥
Translation
I give you the Soma missile named 'Shishira' (The Cold), Tvashta's missile named 'Sudaruna' (The Very Terrible), Bhaga's missile named 'Daruna' (The Terrible), and the 'Shiteshu' (Sharp Arrow) of Manu.

English Commentary
In this concluding list of offensive weapons, Vishwamitra balances the arsenal. He provides the Shishira (Cold) Astra of Soma (the Moon God), likely a counter-measure to heat-based attacks or for tactical freezing. Contrasting this are the Sudaruna (Very Terrible) and Daruna (Terrible) Astras belonging to Tvashta (the Divine Architect) and Bhaga (an Aditya/Solar deity) respectively. Tvashta's weapon implies a mechanically precise or engineered form of destruction, fitting for the maker of divine weapons. Finally, the Shiteshu (Sharp Arrow) of Manu, the progenitor of humanity, suggests a weapon of immense piercing capability, perhaps authorized by the primal laws of men. The juxtaposition of 'Cold' and 'Terrible' highlights the spectrum of warfare—from preservation to absolute annihilation—that Rama must master.
