धर्म चक्रम् ततो वीर काल चक्रम् तथैव च ।
विष्णु चक्रम् तथा अति उग्रम् ऐन्द्रम् चक्रम् तथैव च ॥१-२७-५॥
dharma cakram tato vīra kāla cakram tathaiva ca |
viṣṇu cakram tathā ati ugram aindram cakram tathaiva ca ॥1-27-5॥
Translation
Then, O Hero, the Dharma Chakra, and likewise the Kala Chakra; and the exceedingly terrible Vishnu Chakra as well as the Aindra Chakra.

हे वीर! उसके बाद धर्म चक्र, काल चक्र, तथा अत्यंत उग्र विष्णु चक्र और ऐन्द्र चक्र भी (प्रदान करता हूँ)।
English Commentary
Addressing Rama as 'Vira' (Hero), Vishwamitra imparts a series of devastatingly powerful Chakras (discus weapons). The specific selection aligns with the fundamental forces of the universe. The Dharma Chakra enforces moral order. The Kala Chakra (Time/Death Discus) controls the inevitable destiny and end of beings. The Vishnu Chakra is described as 'ati ugram' (exceedingly fierce); given Rama's identity as an incarnation of Vishnu, receiving this weapon is symbolically significant—it is the reclamation of his own divine power through the medium of his Guru. The Aindra Chakra belongs to Indra, the King of Gods. Collectively, these weapons grant Rama dominance over time, righteousness, preservation, and celestial warfare, equipping him for the colossal battles ahead.

यहाँ विश्वामित्र राम को 'वीर' कहकर संबोधित करते हैं और चार अत्यंत शक्तिशाली चक्र प्रदान करते हैं। १. 'धर्म चक्र': यह धर्म की स्थापना और अधर्म के नाश का प्रतीक है। २. 'काल चक्र': यह समय की शक्ति का द्योतक है, जिससे कोई नहीं बच सकता। ३. 'विष्णु चक्र': इसे 'अति उग्रम्' (अत्यंत भयानक/तेजस्वी) कहा गया है। यह भगवान विष्णु का मुख्य अस्त्र है, और राम (जो विष्णु के अवतार हैं, यद्यपि अभी नर-लीला कर रहे हैं) के पास इसका आना एक दैवीय पुनर्मिलन जैसा है। ४.
