त्व यज्ञस्य विघ्नाय दुरात्मनो महामुनेः ।
भगवन् तस्य को देशः सा यत्र तव याज्ञिकी ॥१-२८-२१॥
tava yajñasya vighnāya durātmano mahāmuneḥ । bhagavan tasya ko deśaḥ sā yatra tava yājñikī ॥ ॥1-28-21॥
Translation
"...to cause obstacles to your sacrifice, O Great Sage of noble soul? O Lord, which is that specific spot where your sacrificial altar stands?"

"...आपके यज्ञ में विघ्न डालने के लिए? हे महामुनि, हे भगवन्! वह स्थान कौन सा है जहाँ आपकी यज्ञ-वेदी है (जिसकी मुझे रक्षा करनी है)?"
English Commentary
Concluding his query, Rama asks for the specific location of the altar (yājñikī) to prepare his defense. He understands that the Durātmano (evil-souled ones) come specifically to create Vighna (obstacles) for the sacrifice. This verse shows Rama transitioning fully into his role as the protector. He is not just touring the forest; he is scouting the battlefield. He wants to know exactly where the holy rites will be performed so he can station himself to intercept the demons Maricha and Subahu.
