यौगंधर विनिद्रौ च दैत्य प्रमधनौ तथा ।
शुचि बाहुर् महाबाहुर् निष्कलि विरुचर् तथासार्चिर्माली धृतिमाली वृत्तिमान् रुचिरः तथा ॥ ॥१-२८-७॥
Yaugaṃdhara vinidrau ca daitya pramadhanau tathā |

English Commentary
This cluster of names emphasizes distinct attributes required for mastering weaponry. Vinidra (sleepless/vigilant) suggests constant awareness. Pramathana (churner/crusher) indicates a force that can physically disrupt an incoming attack. Shuchibahu (pure-armed) and Mahabahu (mighty-armed) combine physical prowess with ritual purity. Names like Sarchirmali (garlanded with flames) and Dhritimali (garlanded with steadfastness) invoke visual metaphors of radiance and stability. Collectively, these personified energies allow Rama to exhibit complete dominance over the battlefield, not just through offense, but through the majestic control of defense and withdrawal.
