Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अयम् सिद्ध आश्रमो नाम प्रसादात् ते भविष्यति ।
सिद्धे कर्मणि देवेश उत्तिष्ठ भगवन् इतः ॥ ॥१-२९-१८॥
Ayam siddha āśramo nāma prasādāt te bhaviṣyati । Siddhe karmaṇi deveśa uttiṣṭha bhagavan itaḥ ॥ ॥1-29-18॥
Translation
By Your grace, this place shall be known by the name 'Siddhashrama' (The Hermitage of Fulfillment). O Lord of Devas, now that the objective has been accomplished, please arise from here.

हे देवेश! आपके प्रसाद (कृपा) से यह स्थान 'सिद्धाश्रम' नाम से प्रसिद्ध होगा। हे भगवन्! अब कार्य सिद्ध हो जाने पर आप यहाँ से उठें (अवतार ग्रहण हेतु प्रस्थान करें)।
English Commentary
Vishvamitra provides the etymology of the location where he is narrating this story to Rama. It is called Siddhashrama because here, the great undertaking (Karma) of Kashyapa was 'Siddha' (accomplished/fulfilled) through Vishnu's grace. This imbues the location with immense sanctity; it is a vortex of success where spiritual endeavors bear fruit. The command Uttishtha (Arise) signals the conclusion of the meditative phase and the beginning of active intervention. It connects the ancient past of Kashyapa directly to the present moment where Rama stands, affirming that he stands on ground capable of granting victory.

विश्वामित्र जी यहाँ उस स्थान (सिद्धाश्रम) के नामकरण का कारण बता रहे हैं जहाँ वे राम को यह कथा सुना रहे हैं। 'सिद्धे कर्मणि'—चूँकि यहाँ कश्यप जी का महान तप और उद्देश्य 'सिद्ध' (सफल) हुआ, इसलिए यह भूमि सदैव के लिए पवित्र और फलदायी हो गई। यह स्थान केवल भौगोलिक नहीं, बल्कि आध्यात्मिक सफलता का स्मारक है। 'उत्तिष्ठ' (उठिए) का प्रयोग यहाँ आवाहन और विसर्जन दोनों के लिए है—तपस्या पूर्ण हुई, अब अवतार लेकर लीला करने का समय आ गया है। यह श्लोक उस भूमि की महिमा गाता है जहाँ राम और विश्वामित्र वर्तमान में खड़े हैं।
