इह राम महाबाहो विष्णुर् देव नमस्कृत ।
वर्षाणि सुबहूनि इह तथा युग शतानि च ॥१-२९-२॥
iha rāma mahābāho viṣṇur deva namaskṛtaḥ । varṣāṇi subahūni iha tathā yuga śatāni ca ॥ ॥1-29-2॥
Translation
"Here, O mighty-armed Rama, Lord Vishnu, worshipped by the gods, resided for very many years and indeed for hundreds of Yugas."

"हे महाबाहु राम! देवताओं द्वारा पूजित भगवान विष्णु ने यहाँ (इस आश्रम में) बहुत वर्षों तक, और सैकड़ों युगों तक निवास किया था।"
English Commentary
Vishvamitra reveals the sanctity of the location: it was the abode of Vishnu himself. By addressing Rama as Mahabaho (Mighty-armed) while speaking of Vishnu, the sage subtly connects the warrior prince standing before him to the cosmic deity. The reference to "hundreds of Yugas" places the ashram in a time scale far beyond human history. It establishes the site as an ancient center of cosmic power, where the Preserver of the Universe performed penance, making it the perfect training ground for his Avatar.

विश्वामित्र अब रहस्य खोलते हैं कि यह आश्रम साधारण नहीं है। यहाँ स्वयं भगवान विष्णु ने तपस्या की थी। 'महाबाहो' संबोधन राम को उनके वीर स्वरूप में याद दिलाता है, जबकि कथा विष्णु की है—जो कि राम का ही मूल स्वरूप है। 'युग शतानि' (सैकड़ों युगों तक) काल की विशालता को दर्शाता है। यह स्थान काल और दिव्यता से अभिसिंचित है। विश्वामित्र परोक्ष रूप से राम को उनके ही पूर्व निवास (Homecoming) का परिचय दे रहे हैं।
